Ursuline Salamanca 2017

I am beyond excited and am looking forward to the incredible experience I will have in Spain. It is an amazing opportunity to travel to a new country and experience new cultures. I look forward to eating new foods, speaking a language that isn't my first language, and learning a new culture. I can't wait to meet my host family and immerse myself in the Spanish culture. Now that I am finally packed, the journey to Spain is so close and I am so excited!

With the trip to Spain quickly approaching, I am beginning to finally consider my expectations for the  trip in a more realistic way. For a while, although I knew I was going to travel to Spain during the summer, it was hard for me to actually picture what it would be like. As I think about it now, I can think about my hopes and expectations for the trip more vividly since the trip is only a few hours away. I am excited to meet my host family and experience a culture that is completely foreign to me. This includes visiting historic landmarks, trying new foods, and speaking and learning the language of Spain. I expect that I will learn a lot during this trip, about not only the language but also the culture. I am so incredibly excited to travel to Salamanca, and I can't wait to get there!

I am really excited to go to Spain. This will be my first time in Spain. I hope to become more fluent in the language and learn about another culture. I am excited to try new foods and dance classes and to see the architecture. I cant wait to have fun and meet new people.

I have been counting down the days until our final departure date to the historic city of Salamanca. I have many hopes and expectations for this exciting and once in a lifetime experience! I hope by attending classes at the University of Salamanca and being submerged into the Spanish lifestyle to expand my Spanish speaking ability. I am also most excited to understand and learn about the historic Spanish culture and be able to visit buildings that are hundreds of years old! Also, I am hoping to create great, long lasting friendships with all if the Ursuline girls going so that we can recollect this trip years in the future!

I am beyond excited for our trip to Spain tomorrow! It will be my first time out of the continent, and I am looking forward to experiencing a culture different than my own. I am eager to meet and get to know my hostess as well as all her children and grandchildren. I can't wait to improve my Spanish-speaking skills in and outside of classroom. Also, I am excited for all the excursions planned because I feel like I will be able to connect with my fellow classmates better. Overall, I am ready to have a great time exploring and learning in Spain.

          I am beyond excited for the adventure that awaits me by just one single night. Since I have never been to Europe, I hope that this trip is the beginning of the love i will endure for the land. Also, I feel nervous and hope that I will be able to recall much of the Spanish language I have learned. I wish that this Spanish Immersion Trip helps me to increase my communication skills as well as experience a different world and culture with my Ursuline sisters. I am so grateful and happy for this amazing experience that I am so privileged to be able to enjoy.

I am finally all packed and ready to go to Spain.  I'm excited to meet my host family and I hope I will be able to talk with them.  I expect that there will be a lot of cultural differences but I'm excited to learn about them.  I'm looking forward to trying new Spanish foods and going to Madrid and seeing the palace there.  I can't wait for tomorrow!

As William Shakespeare once said, "Expectaction is the root of all heartache." With this we can safely assume he was not taking about La Furia Roja, or the great country itself. For the upcoming trip to Spain I expect many cultural differences to The United States. Knowing what I have heard about Europe and seen on a previous trip, I assume the public transportation will be much more efficient and the food being much more natural. I expect Paella to taste like tomatoes, and Despacito not to be played. Luckily, I will have my phone to not only play Spanish jams but to see the Madrid Palace which I am most exited about. 

I have never travelled abroad before, so I am beyond excited to begin my journey tomorrow with Salamanca. I can't wait to be immersed in a Spanish city rooted in culture and history. I know that I will learn so much about Spain just by living with my host family and seeing their everyday life. I honestly cannot believe that I will be on another continent in 24 hours! I am more than ready to learn the Spanish language in a city as beautiful as Salamanca. I hope that I come back to Dallas as a more intellectual and cultured person with lots of stories!!

I am very excited for our trip to Spain tomorrow, however I am not sure what to expect as it is my first time ever traveling to Europe. I hope I get to meet a variety of Spanish people and learn about and experience their culture and customs. I am excited to see the daily lives and fashions of the people in Spain and compare them to our own. I have always been interested in European fashion and I expect to see some interesting trends while in Spain. I hope to improve my Spanish before I return home and I hope to remember all of the information I have learned for years to come. I hope to learn as much as I can while in Spain but still have lots of fun too! This is a trip of a lifetime and I hope it is one I will never forget!

With everything packed and ready to go, my excitement is beginning to grow. I still can't believe that we are leaving tomorrow! I am looking forward to finally getting to visit Spain, and I can't wait to experience the country's culture and history and meet new people. I'm excited to try new foods and visit the museums, churches, and other sites. I also can't wait to meet my host family. After brushing up on my Spanish, I feel pretty comfortable with the language, but I hope to further improve my speaking skills on this trip so that I will feel more confident when communicating with others in Spanish. All in all, I'm just ready for a fun trip!

     I am so excited for this trip. I hope to increase my fluency in Spanish through the courses and through immersing myself in Salamanca's everyday culture. I know I will have a lot of fun getting to know my classmates during the many awesome activities planned. Above all, I am thrilled I get to know more about the places my family has lived and the places I have studied for years in class.

I am so excited for so many aspects of this trip to Salamanca. I hope that I can greatly expand my Spanish vocabulary by attending the Spanish classes and conversing in Spanish with my host family. I am also looking forward to meeting my host mom and learning more about Spanish culture through her. Also, I am so excited for the excursions that we are going on so that I can see more of Spain. My birthday is July 14 so I am excited to spend my birthday in a foreign country. I cannot wait for this incredible trip of a lifetime!

I am so excited for this trip tomorrow. I am a little anxious for the flight because we arrive in the morning, but hopefully I can sleep on the plane! Learning Spanish in Spain excites me a lot because I will get to speak it with more people for everyday use surrounded by the culture. Trying new food will be an adventure, like paella and lots of others! I cannot wait to meet my host family and to get to know them better. On this trip I hope to improve my Spanish and become more comfortable speaking in front of others. I wish that I will try all the different foods and experience the culture fully! I expect that it will be very hot, and I must stay very hydrated. I cannot wait to leave Texas and go to a country that I have never been before, immersing myself fully into the culture thanks to my school, teachers, host family, and parents.

During this trip, I am hoping to learn about the culture in Spain and about the everyday lives of the people who live there. I am expecting to improve my Spanish by the classes and by speaking the language more. I am looking forward to seeing the churches and museums, as well as eating the food. I am also excited to meet my host family, and spend time in a new country!

On this trip to Salamanca, I hope to learn to speak Spanish better and to return home feeling that my Spanish speaking has improved. I think that being in Spain and having to constantly speak Spanish will help me pick up the language. I also hope to learn a lot about and experience Spanish culture. I am excited to see how the customs, traditions, clothes, and food are different is Spain than in America. I hope to learn a lot and have fun on this trip!
